Whether you like fresh strawberries or blackberries, golden pumpkins or cornstalk mazes, Lineberger Maple Springs Farm in Dallas has something for the whole family.

People drive from all over to pick fresh strawberries in May and get more for their money than they can in grocery stores. Many claim they are the best-tasting strawberries they have ever eaten. Then the big juicy blackberries ripen in June into July.

In late summer the pick-your-own fields are closed, but a market at the farm’s entrance sells sweet corn, tomatoes and other vegetables.

In mid-September pumpkins, gourds and muscadine grapes are for sale, pick-your-own or harvested, plus hayrides by arrangement through October.

The farm is open long hours in berry season, but to be sure, call for exact times any time you plan to go.
