Sports & Recreation
Gaston County contains 95 parks and recreation facilities encompassing over 4,653 acres. The 58-acre Martha Rivers Park includes a unique playground designed for and by children. Take US 321 South from I-85, turn left on Hudson Blvd., then immediately right on Neal Hawkins. The park will be about 2 miles on your right on Neal Hawkins. Other facilities include tennis courts, walking tracks, basketball, softball and picnicking areas.

Dirt Track Racing
- Carolina Speedway, 6335 Union Road, Gastonia. Carolina Speedway is a 4/10 mile track and has excited fans and drivers in Gaston County for 44 years. A hospitality suite with air conditioning and comfortable seating is available by reservation. Dirt track races every Friday night.
